Brief History

  • Brunei Muara Bus Franchise Service was first established in 1995 in stages.

  • Five (5) companies were appointed in the franchise for a period of seven (7) years:

    i)    ADBS Sdn Bhd
    ii)   PHLS Sdn Bhd
    iii)  Syarikat Kerjasama Kenderaan & Pengangkutan Mukim Pengkalan Batu dengan Tanggungan Bhd
    iv)  Koperasi Tasamul Mukim Lumapas Berhad
    v)   Syarikat Kerjasama Tanjong Nangka (SATENAGA) dengan Tanggungan Bhd

OBJECTIVES OF PUBLIC BUS SERVICE

  • Reduce the preferred choice for private vehicles
  • Reduce traffic congestion
  • Improve road safety by reducing the number of private vehicles on the road
  • Meet the growing demand for mobility, especially for seniors, children and those who do not have private vehicles
  • Provide options / alternatives to road transport types
  • Encourage the use of public transport service

Franchise Bus formerly known as Purple Bus was changed its images with six (6) new color:

1. Cyan Blue for Circle Line

2. Green for Northern Line

3. Brown for Central Line

4. Royal Blue for Eastern Line

5. Grey for Southern Line

6. Magenta for Western Line
